He works for you

   Sh. S.N. Dixit had joined the Directorate of Education on 22.9.1959 & retired on 30.6.1998. He represented the teaching community for a decade as Vice President, Sr. President, President of GSTA, President of Joint council of Teacher’s Organisation & General Secretary of Federation of Educational Association of Delhi. Even after his retirement he in the capacity of Chairman of Bharat Bhushan - S. N. Dixit Group, guided the GSTA when the group was in power. He helped the teachers fraternity in successfully contesting court cases, representing & achieving good results in Fifth & Sixth pay Commissions. Maximmum Delegation of powers to H.O.S. was issued during his tenure in GSTA. His main activities during service and after retirement are listed below.


ACTIVITIES BEFORE RETIREMENT

• Had been a member of:-
   • Joint Consultative Machinery for Teachers in Govt School and was Secretary StaffSide.
   • Committee for management of Teachers’ Benevolent Fund.
   • Committee of replacement of traditional system of school inspection.
   • Committee for considering the procedure & form for writing the ACRs of teachers.
   • Sub-committee to consider the demand of TGTs for a quota for promotion to the post of Principal.

• Participated in the discussions in National Commission on Teachers (popularly known as Chattopadhyaya Comission).

• Participated as Expert in drafting of manual titled as “Office Manual” published by SCERT.

• Participated in public debate on issues viz. Compulsory Primary Education, Examination reforms, Load of School Bag, Return of answersheets after evaluation by public examination bodies, Value education, Vocational Education etc. orgnised by Ministry of HRD, Department of education, Govt. of India, New Delhi.

• Participated in Asiatic Teachers Conference held at Bhubneshwer.

• Participated in the workshop regarding glorious history of the country orgnised by the Govt. of Delhi.

• Called by the Director of Education to place views before Prof. P.K. Chaddha Committee regarding amendment to Delhi School Education Act.

• Made submissions before V Pay Commission representing Delhi Teachers and pay scale were accordingly modified by the pay commission.


ACTIVITIES AFTER RETIREMENT

• Worked as Manager in Salwan Schools (Public/Aided Schools), Rajender Nagar, New Delhi

• Preparation of Strategic Plan (School Reforms Programme, Directorate of Education 2003) - Member of the Team

• Participated in the Committee setup by Director of Education to consider the various problems of recognized aided schools and to suggest possible remedial solutions.

• Attended workshop on Management of change in Education - Seting goals & forming stratigies Sept.

2002 organised by the Directorate of Education, Delhi. All members were working officers of the Director of Education except him.

• Member of Academic Support Group (2004)

• Worked as Resource Person in a Seminar for Lab. Assistants.

• Member of the Committee for reframing the draft of Delhi School Education Act & Rules, 1973 and to prepare a base paper for incorporating the change, where necessary.

• Participated in the Workshop to identify various issues concerning the admission, freeship to students from weaker section of society in the public schools in compliance of the directions of Hon’ble Supreme Court- orgnised by NCERT (June 2005)

• Member of Grievance Redressal Cell of the Directorate of Education, Delhi.

• Member of sub-committee constituted bythe Chairman, Delhi Bureau of Text Books (D.E.) to explore the mode of utillization of welfare funds of the Bureau.

• Participated in the project “An investigation into the problems & issues pertaining to the children from marginalized group of society in public schools (NCERT).

• Participated in workshop to “Develop inservice training module(s) for teachers organised by NCERT

• Contributing in publication of Delhi School Manual, Dixit’s School Manual since 1998.

• Working as Advisor Administration in Mothers’ Global School earlier known as Mother Terasa School for the last six years.

• Member of the Managing Committees of almost all Salwan Schools.

   He for the benefit of his brothern teachers had launched this website “Dixit School Web” In 2009 to implement the pay fixation orders recommended by 6th pay commission and now reactivated it for ths same cause.
